Les Roses

Pierre Joseph Redouté (1759–1840) was a celebrated French botanical artist, often referred to as the “Raphael of Flowers” for his exquisite depictions of plants. Renowned for his highly detailed and scientifically accurate illustrations, Redouté became the official court artist for Queen Marie Antoinette and later for Empress Joséphine.

His masterpiece, “Les Roses”, published between 1817 and 1824, is one of his most iconic works.
